Notizen zu dieser Person

In my correspondance with R. W. Tatum, he indicates that a Nathaniel Tatum may have come to Jamestown in 1619 as an indentured servant to Capt. William Ewen and lived at Shirley Hundred (plantation?) in Charles City County and later patented land south of the James River in Prince George or Dinwiddie County possibly in 1638-1640. At that time, he brought over his wife Mary and daughter Anne. It is unknown at this time if these people were in any way related to the Tatums in this line. Subsequent information does not show any relationship to these Tatums, however, it is also not ruled out.

I derived the spelling of his first name from the marriage license of Allen Tatum and Mary Bailey, dated 9-7-1868. At this point, I have no way of knowing if this is correct, it only looks like Nelson.
