| Obituary | 27 Dec 1959me late Saturday afternoon following an illness of many years. He was 86. Mr. Beecher was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 29, 1873. He lived in Warren, Pa., prior to moving to Corry in 1902, where he has lived since. He was married on April 15, 1908 to Nellie Williams, who survives. A printer by trade, Mr. Beecher worked for the Corry Evening Journal for 23 years. During World War II he was employed at the Corry Jamestown Corp., and General Printing for a short time. He was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Corry, and secretary of the official board for 17 years. He was also active as a leader in the YMCA movement in Corry. Besides his wife he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Held, Warren, Pa., Mrs. Frances Toyer, Santa Barbara, Calif., Mrs. Ellen Swavey, Bradford, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bracken Funeral Home today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2 p. m. Rev. George Myers and Rev. E. A. Ortner will officiate. Interment will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
