Thomas Levi HOOVER

Thomas Levi Hoover married Ella Maude Ingram 22 May 1922 after both had lost

thier spouces. Both had children from there first marriages. Thomas had four:

the first Herman Lester Hoover, the second Curtis Holland Hoover , The third a

daughter Vera Irene Hoover, And the fourth was Floyd Nelson Hoover (who died as

an infant. Ella Maude had two daughters the first was Alice Ruth Whitten the

second waw Clara May Whitten. Together they had one daughter her Name was

Marjorie Helen Hoover. Thomas had been married twice before the first to Miss

Emma Beulah Ballard, the second to Miss Bessie Payne of The Clardy Community

south of Jennings.

Thomas Spent his life as a farmer and worked with hourse teams mostly.I rembe

watching him plough and always woundered how he keep the rows so stright.

Last rites for T. L. Hoover 1525 Belmont Ave., were set for Friday at 2 pm at

Shady Grove Methodist Church, south of Paris, with the burial to be there by Fr

& Gibbs Funeral Home.

The Rev. James E. Jones, Associate pastor of the First Methodist Church, and th

Rev. Perry Crowell of Belmont Bapist Church here,were to officiate, and named

bearers were Raymond Hoover, Larence Hoover, Floyd Holland Hoover, D. V. Green,

Robert Russell, and Bonnie Harper.

Mr. Hoover, 85, a native of Shady Grove, died at home early Thursday, after a

long illness.

T.L. Hoover

T.L. Hoover, 85 , former resident of Shady Grove, south of Paris, died of

illness, Thursday at 12:45 at his home here, 1525 Belmont.

Services, Friday at 2 p.m.; will be conducted at Shady Grove Methodist

Church where he was a member and former steward. the body will lie for an hour

before the services. Fry & Gibbs will make interment in Shady Grove Cementery.

Son of the late T.H. and Elizabeth (Hill) Hoover was born June 27, 1875 at

Shady Grove. He attended nearby Ashland School, and later was a member of the

old Jennings Masonic Lodge.

In 1900, he married Miss Emma Beulah Ballard, who died in 1916 in 1921 he

married Miss Ellie M. Ingram, and she servives.

He also leaves thes children: Mrs. Irene Mahar, Dallas; Mrs. Margie Durham,

Paris; Mrs Ruth Leigh, Napa, Calif.; H.L. Hoover, Pattonville, And the Rev.

Curtis H. Hoover, Marshall; thier 39 descendents, and a brother, R.C. Hoover,

Wichita Falls.
