1. Anders Gustaf Bly aka Andrew Lee Leavene; as a young man he worked for
a farmer in Sweden whose name was Leavene and having respect for this man
he took his name
2. According to the census information, he came to the U.S. in 1869.
3. Also, in the 1900 census, his month and birth year are given as July,1844.
4. His name was illegible in the 1910 census. The name given resembles
"Arine D."
5. In the 1900 census it was indicated that ten children had been born to this
family but only 9 were living; in 1910 it was 11 children with 8 living.
6. In the 1900 census it was recorded that this couple had been married eighteen
years but in 1910 they indicated they had been married 30 years.
7. His obituary indicates that there was another son of this family with the initials
of J. W.
8. Salem Cemetery is located about 5 miles east of Moberly, MO on State Hwy.
EE, on the south side of the road. There was once a church located near the
cemetery.
