"W.S. Brockman Dies; Suffered Stroke Recently
William S. Brockman, 91, died at his home at 721 Cleveland at 4:20
a.m. today. He had suffered a stroke about a week ago.
He was the son of Elijah and Delphia Brockman, born in Randolph
County, and lived most of his life south of Huntsville.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Martha D. Brockman and a son, Jesse,
both of the home; two half sisters, Mrs. Annie Richardson, Huntsville;
and Mrs. Mattie Walker, Columbia; and two half brothers, Tommy
Crutchfield, Wilmington, Calif.; and Porter Crutchfield, Huntsville.
Mr. Brockman was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Huntsville and of
the Mt. Salem Baptist Church, south of Huntsville.
The funeral will be held at the Mt. Salem Church, but arrangements, in
charge of the Patton Funeral Home at Huntsville, are pending. Burial
will be in the church cemetery."

"Buried Friday Wm. S. Brockman, 91, dies Tuesday
William S. Brockman, long time resident of Randolph County and a
retired farmer, died at 4:20 a.m. July 8th, at his home at 721
Cleveland, Moberly. He suffered a stroke on Saturday of last week. He
was 91 years old at the time of his death.
He was born in Randolph County, the son of Eliza and Delphia Robinson
Brockman, on April 19, 1873.
He is survived by a daughter, Miss Martha D. Brockman, librarian at
Central Methodist College, Fayette; and a son, Jesse, of the home. At
the present time Jesse is in the hospital in Decatur, Ill.
He is also survived by two half-sisters, Mrs. Annie Richardson, Hunts-
ville and Mrs. Mattie Walker, Columbia; and by two half-brothers, Tom
Crutchfield, Wilmington, California, and Porter Crutchfield, Huntsville.
His wife, the late Eva Brockman, died in May of 1958.
Mr. Brockman was a member of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church and of the
Huntsville Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A.M.
Services for Mr. Brockman will be held at Mt. Salem Baptist Church
Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., with burial in Mt. Salem Church Cemetery.
Rev. Charles Millner, pastor of the Huntsville Methodist Church, will
be in charge of the services."
