"Died Today At Renick
A Pioneer Resident Of This County Died At 12:25 O'clock
Thomas Brockman, a pioneer resident of this county, died at the
family home in Renick at 12:25 o'clock this afternoon, following a
short illness.
Mr. Brockman was 71 years old March 27, last. He had made his home in
this county all his life, and he had many friends in Moberly who will be
grieved to learn of his death.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Taletha
C. Davis, of near Renick; Mrs Musa White, Kirksville, and Miss Louise
Brockman, Renick; Thomas of St. Louis and Marvin, of Renick. Three bro-
thers, C.J. Brockman, of Clark; J.W. Brockman, Atlanta, and James W.
Brockman, of Renick, also survive him as do three grandchildren: Carl
and Eldon Davis and Zenta White, all of Kirksville.
Mr. Brockman was born on a farm near Renick. He was one of the sub-
stantial farmers of the county and was held in high esteem by all his
acquaintances. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning at
the Methodist church in Renick conducted by the Rev. John Hubbard, of
Fulton and the Rev. E.Y. Ginn, of Fayette and burial will be in the
Hamilton graveyard near Renick."
