Evelyn Ann (Landorf) Brummel, age 91, of Shabbona, IL, passed away Monday, May 8, 2006 at the Shabbona Healthcare Center. She was born May 31, 1914 in Naperville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Wesendorf) Landorf. She attended Naperville Schools and was united in marriage to Paul Brummel on February 7, 1933. Evelyn and Paul farmed together in Naperville for many years until 1973 when they moved to Shabbona. She enjoyed baking and visiting with family. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Lee. Survivors include a daughter, Jean (Alfred) Augsburg of Hinckley; a son, Paul C. (Kaye) Brummel of Shabbona; eight grandchildren, Debra Augsburg of Sheridan, IL, Carol Tellez of Lamarr, CO, Jeanine Augsburg of El Paso, TX, Judy (Louie) Leifheit of BIg Rock, IL, Barbara (David) Tellez of Montgomery, IL, James (Donna) Augsburg of Oswego, IL, Sharlyn (Jeff) Larson of Shabbona, and Paula (Ron) Bend of Earlville; six step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl (Lois) Landorf of Holiday, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on December 1, 1986; four brothers; a sister; and a nephew. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Thursday morning May 11, 2006 at St. James Catholic Church in Lee with Father Perfecto Vasquez officiating. Burial will be in St. James Calvary Cemetery, Lee. Friends may call from 3 until 8 PM Wednesday afternoon and evening at Jacobson Funeral Home in Shabbona. A Liturgical Wake Service will be held at 7:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
