Michael Freidrich died in route from Indianola to New Braunfels and is buried in an unmarked grave in Gonzales County. Another story says that he died and is buried near Seguin, Texas but Seguin is in Guadalupe County which is a neighboring county. He would have been about 51 years old. He was born 30 Sep 1800 in Wilmersdorf, Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany and reportedly died 22 Aug1852. He and Christine married about 1826. They had 8 children: one daughter who died as an infant before immigration, Karl, August, Emilie, Hermann, Wilhelm, Heinrich, and Adolph.
