| 1 | Details: Della E. Howard Della E. .Howard, 90, 10628 22nd Ave., died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at Carey Manor in Pleasant Prairie, where she had been a resident since 1994. Born March 23, 1907, in Ken- Della E. Howard osha, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Augusta (Risch) Becker. She attended Bain and Wash- ington schools. After leaving school, she cared for her mother for several years and also worked on the family farm. On May 5, 1927, she married Walter C. Arndt at Immanuel Methodist Church. He died March 31, 1951. On June 7, 1958, she married Edmund L. Howard at Immanuel Methodist Church. He died on June 21, 1961. She was employed as a cook for the Dublin School, where she was a pie maker. She was also employed for 23 years as a nurse's aid at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. She retired in 1971. She was a lifelong Kenosha resident, a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church its United Methodist Women chap- ter. She was also well-known for her flower-arranging and craft skills. Survivors include a daughter, Grace Faulkner of Pleasant Prairie; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Stiles on July 22, 1978; a grandson, Don Faulkner on March 19, 1988; three brothers, Henry, Richard and William Becker; and a sister, Dorothea Jacob. Hansen Funeral Home is in chargebf arrangements. |
