| Todesanzeige | 1 Jan 1967 Russell H Brausen, 47, of 13 Merrill Crest dr., died Saturday (Dec. 31, 1966) in a hospital where he was taken early in the morning by the Fire Department Rescue Unit No. 9. Asst. Coroner John Stevenson said the death is under investigation, and he has ordered an autopsy. Mr. Brausen formerly was employed by the University of Wisconsin and had played with Madison area dance bands for number of years. He was born in the township of Westport and lived in Waunakee before coming to Madison. Surviving is his wife, the former Alice Hickcox. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Joyce funeral home, 540 W. Washington ave., and at 9 a.m. in St. Raphael Cathedral. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery.
