Barbara Hay : wurde abt 1772 geboren, Va; m John Hartong (Harton) in Berkeley Co., Va. Sie zogen nach Steubenville, Ohio; dann 1815/16 nach Jefferson Co., Ind. Irgendwann vor 1820 ertrank John in einem Fluss (in Ohio oder Ind.). [Vielleicht zog sie nach dem Tod ihres Mannes nach Ohio zurück, weil es einen Barbary (sic) Hay gab, der George Shitterly am 21. November 1819 in Fairfield Co., Ohio, heiratete. Ihr Bruder Peter lebte noch dort und vielleicht einige Schwestern.] Barbara starb jedoch im Mai 1874 (im Alter von 103 Jahren) und wurde in der Nähe von Madison, Ind.
