Anna Katharina HAUSER

Anna married John Gottlieb Counselman and they had Mary Catherine (1839-1864), Adam (1841), Godfrey (1843), John Henry (1847), Philip William (1849-1927), Daniel Charles (1852-1901), David (1854-1878), Catherine(1856-1928), and John Jacob (1859-1931). Both Anna and John were from Wurttemberg.

Counselman – On the 14th day of May, 1888, near McClure, Henry county, O., Annie C. Counselman, aged almost 70 years.

Another of the pioneers of Damascus township has passed away; one by one in quick succession they are hastening to the land beyond. Will you pardon us Mr. Editor for so frequently asking space in your paper to note the departure of those who filled so important a place in the past history of this county, and who so justly demand our respect for the privation, toil and hardship through which they passed. The deceased was the mother of P. W. & J. Counselman, dry good merchants of McClure, O.

Her husband died more than twenty years ago. She then with her family removed to the State of Texas, but failing to find the land they anticipated, they returned again to Henry county. She was highly esteemed by those with whom she associated. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilcox, with whom she found an excellent home in the months of her affliction. On the 15th her remains were taken to Wood county, follohne weitere Einträged by a large number of relatives, friends and neighbors, where funeral services were held by Rev. J. W. Myers, after which she was placed by the side of her departed husband to await the first resurrection.
