Buck II, 72, of Bucyrus died Saturday at Fairview Manor following an extended illness. He was born in Bucyrus to the late James A. and Stella M. (Bachman) Buck. On June 13, 1953, he married Helen I. Bowersox, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sharon buck II of Bucyrus, Charles and Penny Buck III of Prospect, Randy and Julie Buck of McComb; six grandchildren, Valerie, Brandon, Sarah, Daniel, Kristen and Ryan Buck; one great-granddaughter, Alexa Horsley; one aunt, Virginia Blizzard of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Buck was a 1948 graduate of Bucyrus High School. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the U.S. Army. Following his time in the service, he worked at Timken doing machine maintenance until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, where he served as the literature secretary for a number of yeaes; the Bucyrus Masonic Lodge No. 139 F.&A.M.; Bucyrus Chapter 160 R.A.M.; Bucyrus Chapter 83 R.&S.M.; Bucyrus Chapter 3 Order of Eastern Star; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Toledo; A.A.O.N. Shrine of Columbus; American Legion, Colonel Crawford Post 181, where he had served as past commander; Eight and Forty; V.F.W. Post 1078; and the Indian Four Motorcycle Club. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wise Funeral Service, where a Masonic service will be at 6:45 p.m. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don L. Neumann officiating. Interment will follow in Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, with military rites to be provided by the American Legion, Colonel Crawford Post 181. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran church for the Paetznick Youth Director Fund or to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
