Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Nell was born on Oct. 14, 1923, in Cooper to Albert and Laura Gunter. She was a member for over 50 years at Brown Trail Church of Christ in Bedford. Nell retired from Reliance Communications as a quality control inspector and later as a food demonstrator at Albertson's. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Preston; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Daughters, Carolyn Crabtree and husband, Richard, Laura Rucker and husband, Bill; son, James Gary Preston; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister, Ruby Cregg.
