Life Story for Ann Kroeck GubaAnn Kroeck Guba of Acton, MA died peacefully at home Feb 3, 2014 at 80 years from pancreatic cancer. Born to Julius and Elsa (Holmstrom) Kroeck in Stoneham, MA on July 26, 1933 she was the beloved wife of 58 years of Robert F. Guba of Acton, MA. Devoted mother of David F. Guba and his wife Marlene of Shrewsbury, MA, Steven E. Guba and his wife DeDe of Acton, MA, Karen A. Fidler and her husband Dave of Springfield, NH, and Robert D. Guba and his wife Doreen of Haverhill, MA, and six grandchildren Benjamin, Matthew, Lauren, Jonathan , Eric, and Curtis. She is also survived by her brother Robert H. Kroeck and his wife Dolores and niece Jean E. Aiken and husband Tim of New Ipswich, NH. She attended Endicott College and secretarial courses at Boston University. She wanted to be remembered for her time & devotion over the years to her husband, children & grandchildren. They brought her much joy. She cared for her mother in her home for 20 years and also spent many years making daily visits to elderly neighbors & friends in nursing homes. She had a passion for sewing, quilting and button collecting and enjoyed the many friends she made with these interests. She was in charge of creating the Acton Town quilt with the help of many committee members that hangs in Actons Town Hall. She also enjoyed researching her Swedish genealogy.A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
