Johann Gottlieb REMUS

<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr"><br /><span style="font-size: xx-small;"></span></p> <p>In the February 05, 1865 wedding record of August Remus, son of JohanGottlieb, it is stated that August was living with his uncle August since both of his parents were deceased. The only way that could happenis if Johan Gottlieb is the son of Ludwig Remus as is August. Johan Gottlieb actually died much earlier since his widow Anna Christina Retzlaff remarried on May 28, 1850 to Christoph Bussler.</p> <p><p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"></span></p></p> <p>The records cited for three of his children are from Volhynia. They lived in the Towin, Michaelsdorf, Sergejewka, and Bolarka area north of Nowgrad-Wolhynsk which lies between Zhitomir and Rovno in the center of Volhynia. We find Johan Gottfried Remus and Christina Schwirk's children there including August, Wilhelmine, and Juliane.
