| Obituary | 18 Nov 1939 Mrs. Morris R. Parks, West Lafayette, received word of the death of her brother, Samuel T. Beeker, 64, in Dunnellon, Fla. Mr. Beeker was born in Battle Ground, but had resided in Florida the past four years. His death was unexpected. He was a 1918 graduate of the Purdue University School of Mechanical Engineering, a Navy veteran of World War I, a member of the Battle Ground Masonic lodge and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was employed for many years by the Virginia Power and Light Co. of Richmond, Va., before retiring in 1952. Mrs. Parks is the only immediate survivor. Journal and Courier: obituary of Samuel T.
