Slagle, Mary, wife of David H. Slagle, aged 65 years,died between 3 and 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at the Slagle residencein Edgewood, above the Eighteenth Ward, at the Slagle home at 2 o'clockFriday afternoon, the service to be conducted by the Rev. Thomas H.Morris, minister of the Calvary Methodist Episcoial Church, with burialin Grandview Cemetery The deceased was a daughter of John and Susan Shirey Lininger, whoremoved from York County to near Brushvalley, Indiana County, during the40's. Mary Lininger was born in Indiana County city by the late Rev. David M. Miller of the First Presbyterian Church in1880. Mr. and Mrs. Slagle went to housekeeping on Market Street, thiscity, and later moved to Somerset County where they resided betweenHooversville and Stoystown for serveral years before returning to thiscounty. Mrs. Slagle's parents died in West Taylor Township, her mother in 1869and her father in 1883. Mrs. David H. Slagle was a sister of Catherine,widow of David Slagle, of Estherville, Lower Yoder Township; Mrs. RobertA. Reighart, of Westmont; Miss Harriet Lininger, of Lincoln Street andMorrell place; Mrs. Jonas J. Yoder, of Southmont; Amos Lininger, ofHamilton Terrace, and John Lininger, of Oak Street. In adddition to herbrothers and sisters, Mrs. Slagle, is survived by her husband, threedaughters, four sons and 13 grandchildren. Her sons and daghters are:Porter Slagle, of Edgewood; Edith, wife of Ellsworth Claridge, of theSouth Side; Charles, of Ferndale; Mrs. Susan Slagle Paul and FrankSlagle, of Dale Terrace; Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Glass, of the SouthSide. and John Slagle, at home.
