He is the first forefather that can be proven by documents of thef amily. C. Stueve reports on him in his work "History of the MonasteryOsnabrück" ("Geschichte des Hochstiftes Osnabrück:) on some interestingdetails in the second part (partially recounted in the Appendix.) Hiscoat of arms from 1613, produced by the Glass Painter family Born,Wiedenbrueck, is preserved (see picture and coat of arms table in theAppendix.) According to Dr. Doht, Berlin, a connection exists betweenhim and the Glandorps in Muenster, since Heinrich, who was born in the Monastery Osnabrueck, was a son of the Humanist Glandorp. Dr. Flaskamp,a Homeland author in Wiedenbrueck, informed me personally that theheadstone of Christoffer Glandorff was still in existence in the cemeterythere in 1937.
IHis first wife is not known, the second is a Margarete, nee Heising, from a family of good standing in Wiedenbrueck. The first marriage produced 3 and the second 4 children
