2004 3 My name is Andrea Dremann. My great-grandmother was Bertha Ahlf Covey. She emigrated to the United States to be with her two brothers in the late 1800s, living first in Wyoming then in Ogden, Utah. August Ahlf is (was?) her nephew and was my grandmother's first cousin. Sincerely, Andrea Dremann It's interesting that you asked about the saloon. Bertha (August in Hawaii's aunt) married my great-grandfather Louis Covey who operated a saloon in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Could very well be that the info you have is from that bar. We have had some difficulty finding out any information at all about Louis; he emigrated at an early age and died in the late 20's so none of my aunts and uncles ever met him. Apparently when Bertha joined her brothers - August and George- it was in Wyoming near Rock Springs. To the best of my knowledge they had a sheep ranch in the area.
