The LDS Family Search database includes a Paul Fries, born April 9, 1893 in Emmerichenhain, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, the son of Hermann Fries and Pauline Flick. He died on September 15, 1949. I initally thought that this was the same Paul Fries who married Berta Marx. However, the same database record indicates that he married (spouse name unavailable) on June 14, 1925. Based on the known and/or assumed birth dates of the children of Paul and Berta Fries (1921, 1922, 1925 and 1929), this marriage date would indicate that the Paul Fries in the LDS database is NOT the same Paul Fries who married Berta Marx.
