Henry's obituary appeared in The Baltimore Sun, April 18, 2006: "HIRSCH, Henry G. On April 16, 2006, Henry G., 97 years old, of Glen Arm, MD. Dedicated and esteemed teacher in the Baltimore Public School System for 41 years. Beloved husband of Teresa M. (Potthast); devoted father of Richard H. Hirsch of River Edge, NJ, Dr. Robert G. Hirsch of Rockland, ME and Dr. Thomas J. Hirsch of Madison, WI. Also survived by Jeanine, wife of Richard, grandchildren Richard and Ann; Kathleen, wife of Robert and mother of grandchildren Erik and Andrea; and Joyce, wife of Thomas and mother of grandchildren John and Michael. Andrea is mother of great-grandchild Anna. "Wake on April 18 4-6 p.m. at Evans Funeral Chapel, 8800 Harford Road. Mass of Christian Burial on April 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist, 13305 Long Green Pike, hydes (410-592-6206). Interment at New Cathedral Cemetery (4300 Old Frederick Road). Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus (Maryland Jesuits, marprovjesuits.org)."
