Chona N. Zimmerman, 74, Oconto Falls, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home. Chona was born July 22, 1946 in Carbondale, Ill. She grew up in Marseilles, Ill., and moved to Wisconsin in the early 1980's. She owned and operated Fancy Fish pet store in Oconto. Chona was a care taker for special needs adults for many years. She was an avid Mickey Mouse collector, loved her pets and all animals. Chona always looked forward to spending time with her Thursday night crew. Chona is survived by sister, Clara (Paul) Weiss; a brother, Charles Edward (Debbie) Spicer; grandchildren, Jared and James Zimmerman; two nieces, Carrie (Tim) Mulrain, and their daughter, Grace, Emma (Dan) O’Brien; special friends, Jane, Gabe and Mark Gondeck, Jay and Sharie Merline, Illinois friend Doodles; cousin, Donna; and many other close friends. Preceded in death by one son, James Edward Zimmerman II, and parents, Dorothy and Bill Borneman. There will be no services. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
