Obituary in the Rochester, Minnesota Post-Bulletin, June 8, 2006 RED WING -- The funeral for Willard John Ehlen will be at 10 a.m.Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Goodhue, with the Rev.Randall Kuznicki officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery inRed Wing. Mr. Ehlen, 91, of Red Wing, died Wednesday (June 7, 2006) at theFairview Seminary Home in Red Wing. He was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Featherstone Township, Goodhue County,attended parochial schools at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creekand rural school in Featherstone Township. On Sept. 11, 1937, hemarried Bernice Fitschen. They lived in Zumbrota from 1938 to 1946.They moved to Featherstone Township and farmed until moving to RedWing in 1965. He drove truck for Art Mann and for 26 years worked atRed Wing Implement. He was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Churchin Hay Creek and Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. He was a currentmember of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and enjoyed making wooden toys,playing cards and dancing. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ruth (Lonnie) Ringeisen andJean (Curt) Callstrom, both of Red Wing; nine grandchildren; 15great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Matthees of Zumbrota. Hewas preceded in death by a son. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family FuneralHome, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, and an hour before the serviceSaturday at the church.
