Andrej Kucyna

Andrej Kucyna, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He was a resident of Parsippany for the past year and previously of Yonkers, NY since 1960. He was born in Voluiky, a small village near the town of Olesko in western Ukraine, and came to the US in 1949. Andrej was a machinist and foreman from 1952 to 1986 for G.A.L. Electro Mechanical in NYC and the Bronx. After retirement from G.A.L., he went on to a second career as an Electrolux Salesman in Westchester County, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elvira; three sons, Yuri and wife Sasha, Orest and wife Maria, Bohdan and wife Katia, and his two grandchildren, Mykola and Andrea.

Visiting hours will be held at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ on Thursday, April 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Parastas will be held at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church in Whippany on Friday, April 5th at 9 am. Burial to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Hamptonburg, NY.
