(My father's obit - Cecelia Kaul Wolff) Funeral services for Friedrich "Fred J." Kaul, 97, Fallon were Oct 29, 2005 at the Fallon Evangelical Church with Pastor Paul Brannan officiating. A prayer service was Oct 28, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Terry Chapel. Interment followed in the family lot of the Prairie County Cemetery. Mr. Kaul died Oct 25, 2005 at the Glendive Nursing Home. He was born May 9, 1908 At Sea aboard the SS Barbarossa as his parents, Johann and Magdalena (Bieber) Kaul immigrated to the US from Glueckstal, Russia. They arrived in this country when he was five days old, through Ellis Island, and continued to Eureka, SD, where he was baptized in the Zion Lutheran Church May 31, 1908. In 1913 his parents moved to Montana and homesteaded in the Marsh area. He was confirmed in the Marsh Lutheran Church. In 1935, he and Caroline Gaub were married in Plevna, MT in the German Congregational Church parsonage by Rev. Albert Hausauer. They farmed in the Marsh area until a 1938 move to Fallon. He continued farming and raising cattle. Survivors include: three daughters, Elaine (Robert) Pust, Cecelia (Harold Wolff), Ramona (Wray) Freiboth; two sons, Vernon (Janice Trask) Kaul and Floyd (Diann Christensen) Kaul; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Caroline (Emil Vegele) and Magdalena (Albert) Kalmback; one half-sister Katie (George) Rittal and one half-brother Richard (Mabel) Kaul.
