Motueka 23 Augst 1877 Dear Mr Bockmann, I received your kind note stating that Johnny could stay until Ireturned from Nelson. I have so much to do that I have been quiteunable to go to Nelson, so that now we must send our little youngsterhome again. He has been quite useful and I will not forget him as soonas I can get things cleared up which will not be far from this date.Jno has not been idle since he has been with us. He has been writingin the evening so that I think you will find him quite starved on hisarrival in the Moutere. I am sending you up some onions. They are avery large sort but not good keeping ones. Any other seeds you wish tohave you can have with pleasure. I think everything will be wound upin about a month. I must now conclude as Sophy is going to write to you. Believe me to remain.
