«b» Obituary «u»«/b»kaylasander, ancastry.de «/u»dies wurde hinzugefügt am 1 Mrz 2008 Mrs Anna Ehlers was born at DeWitt, Iowa September 21, 1869 and the daughter of Henry and Margert (Hebbert) Wegner died at St. Anthony's hospital in Carroll, Iowa October 26, 1957 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 5 days. She had been hospitalized one month with a broken hip and had been in failing health for several months. She was united in marriage to Fred Ehlers and to this union eight children were born, Mr and Mrs Ehlers spent most of their life on a farm one mile east of Botna until they retired and moved to Manning. Survivors include eight children; Mrs Emma (William) Hagadorn of Manning, George, Herman and Fred all of Manning, Ernest of Botna, Mrs Rose (Art) Sturk of Coon Rapids, Mrs Florence (Arnold) Witt of Carroll and Mrs Selma (R.M.) Kuehler of St. Petersburg, Florida and two sisters; Mrs Chas Ehlers of Long Beach, California; one brother, Frank Wegner of Whitefish, Mont. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death March 1955. Funeral services were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning October 29, 1957 with Rev. Carl Sinning of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the Manning cemetery. Pallbearers were; Ray Wycoff, Louis P.H. John, Harry Hoffman, Grover Bartels, Carl P. Bruce and Robert Campbell.

Catharina Margaretha Maria Bargmann... children: Franz Christian Hinrich Wegner (b. 20 Jan 1826) who was my great-grandfather who came to America in 1850's settling in Minnesota, Catharina Margaretha Wegner (b. 21 Jan 1819), Nicolaus Gottlieb Wilhelm Wegner (b. 8 Oct. 1828) who came to America about the same time as Franz and settled somewhere in the midwest, and Anna Elisabeth Wegner (b. 24 Aug 1823)...all the children were born in Relligen, Pinneberg, Schl.holst., Prussia.
