Obituary -
Stewart, Mary Jane (Bourne), From Saturday's Daily
Mary Jane Grover Bourne of Cokeville, Wyoming, wife of John Bourne, for many years in charge of the O. S. L. station at that point, died at her home this morning at the age of 64 years after a lingering illness, which became alarming only a few days ago.
She is survived by her husband and ten children, John, Eugene, George, Will, Frank and Norman Bourne, and Mrs. Retta Roberts, Mrs. Myrtle Angle, Mrs. Edith Burch and Mrs. Jennie Woodward, and in addition many grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at Cokeville on Monday. Mrs. Bourne had many relatives in this city, as well as in Farmington and other portions of the state. She was said to have been the first while child born in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of James Stewart and Jane Grover Stewart, of the well-known Grover family of Farmington. Her father was one of the original band of pioneers, and he continued his journey from here to the mission established in 1849 in San Bernardino, where the daughter was born. She was a woman highly esteemed in the community in which she lived, rearing a large family, which has taken a leading part in the up building of Cokeville and in Church organizations in which they were active. Most of the sons and daughters have engaged in farming and ranching, in addition to which the sons have all been in the service of therailroad with which their father for many years held responsible positions. . .
