Anchorage resident Rebecca Ann Koropp, 34, died March 29 at home. A private family service was held April 2 at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel.
Miss Koropp was born March 13, 1956, in Fairbanks. She had attended West High School and had been a science major at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. She volunteered time to Head Start Recovery Inc. and the Women's Auxiliary at Humana HospitalAlaska. She enjoyed spending time with children, music, swimming, skiing, ice skating and walking. The family made the following statement: "She was admired for her courage in life by those who knew her well."
She is survived by her parents, Joy and John, of Anchorage; her grandmother, Etta King, of Sweet Home, Ore.; her sisters, Susan Crosson, Daphne Koropp-Holfield and Cindy, all of Anchorage; her brother, Michael, of Anchorage; three nieces; and twonephews. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Mental Health Association, 4050 Lake Otis Prkwy., Anchorage 99508.
