She had married, before the death of Richard, Louis de Brienne , third son of Jean de Brienne , king of Jerusalem, and Bérengère de León . With Marguerite de Fiff , her niece, she recommended to Pope Innocent III the Perray-Neuf Abbey.who was in an unfortunate situation, and obtained for the bishop of Angers an order to give the Benedictine abbey to the Cistercian nuns , 1246 . Louis de Brienne and Agnes allowed the monks of the Priory of Vivoin to enlarge their enclosure, 1254 , confirmed in 1258 , the rent of 100 sols bequeathed by Raoul de Beaumont, and religious Perseigne all they possessed in their fief, 1259 . They assigned to the provost of Lude the rents which the abbey of Étival-en-Charnie received on the provost of Loué , 1280 . Of their five children, Jean continued the viscounts of Maine (or Beaumont-au-Maine ); Jeanne, lady of Loué , married Guy VIII of Laval ; and Marie, lady of Laigle , was wife of Henry III d'Avaugour , baron of Mayenne . From now on the first family of Viscounts of Maine is extinguished.
