Frederick G. Dipper, for fifty-four years a resident of Decatur, died at 1:30 Sunday morning at the rssidence,
777 East Cantrell street. Mr. Dipper's death was due to the infirmities of age. He was seventy-nine years old. He was one of the best known German residents of Decatur. Born at Sindelfinger, Wittenberg, Germany, he came to America in 1852. Two years later he came to Decatur
and this has been his home ever since. He learned the carpenter trade early in life and followed it for many years. He was considered one of the best in his line, and he was successful In business, saving his earnings and judiciously investing them until he had a comfortable
fortune. He was a prominent member of St. Paul's German Lutheran church. He Is survived by two sons, John Dipper, who lives west of Decatur, and Louis Dipper, whose home is in San Francisco, Cal.
