{geni:about_me} Rabbi David Katzenellenpogen was ABD of Keidaniai after his father left for Altona in 1714.
His signature in the Records of the Council of the Four Lands appeared in 1751 at the meeting of Mir.
Sometime after 1726 the Gaon (R. Elijah) of Vilna, while still a child, studied under him for several months in Keidan, having been brought there by his son R. Abraham. R. Abraham had been visiting Vilna and saw the wonder-child prodigy.
he died about 1756. Married the daughter of R. Shalom, son of R. Israel (A.B.D. of Birzi and Zamosc). R. Shalom's wife was the daughter of R. Meshullam Zalman Neumark, A.B.D. of the Triple Community of Altona-Hamburg-Wandsbeck (died in 1706).
