They doctored him with every knownremedy and sent for a doctor, but he was dead in a short time at the ageof forty-five. Doctor was a school teacher and a farmer. He and Sara Jane had sevenchildren, but she died when the last child was born. He managed to keepthe family together for three years, until his death in 1901. There weresix boys, and a then a girl was born in April, 1892, who they namedMinnie. She was raised by Hiram and Lizzie Caldwell. Harrison and Susietook a child named Hardy to raise. Thomas was raised by Thomas and LouPalmer. William Palmer took Herbert, who died at age fifteen. FrankPalmer raised Jessie and George and Mag raised Eston.
