From J. S. Johnson we learn that Mr. John R. Foster, an old and respected
citizen living in the south-west part of the county, died very suddenly
Sunday evening.
He did his chores in the evening and went to bed about 8:30. At 10:30 he
got up and put a stick of wood in the stove and went back to bed and in
one minute he was dead. His wife heard him make some noise in his throat
as if he was struggling to get his breath and went to him and raised his
head to find him dead. He was 65 or 70 years of age. There was no one
in the house but his wife and daughter, the latter a young woman.
He was a member of the Masonic fraternity having his membership at Chula.
Undertake Gipsonwent down today to embalm the body and take charge of
the funeral. The dateof the funeral wil not be fixed until they hear
from a son in Oklahoma. Hewill be buried with Masonic honor at the
Tolle cemetery.
