Sein Vater ist Christoph Bürger, ein Häusler daselbst, die Mutter Susanna, Geörge Reichelt, Bauers daselbst, hinterlassene Tochter, getaufft den 9. Juli (?)" [Pf Pfaffroda KB Hallbach 11/1704]. "Gottfried Bürger, Einwohner in Hallbach, ward auf dem Wege von Olbernhau bei den schwarzen ... halbtot aufgefunden, nach Hause geschafft und starb ohne wieder zu erwachen den Tag darauf, den 14. August nachmittags um 3 Uhr, und ward den 17. desselben mit einer Abdankungspredigt beerdigt. Aet. 68 Jahre, 7 Monate und 7 Tage" [Pf Pfaffroda KB Hallbach 34/1772]. "Gottfried Bürger, Juv. und Häusler, Leineweber in Hallbach, Christoph Bürgers, auch Leineweber daselbst ehelicher Sohn ward ordentlich copulieret mit Jungfrau Anna Sophien, Christoph Bauers, ... und Einwohner aufn ... bei Oberneuschönberg eheliche Tochter den 23.
