Notizen zu dieser Person
He was a forest ranger in the MN/Canadian border area and never married. There are two letters written in 1892 and 1912 that indicate that he was a "traveler" and seems that he did not keep close contact with his family. It is thought that he was in the Mayer, MN area in the Spring of 1891. In 1892, he may have been in Redwood Falls (MN). Photographs of him place him at Quetico Provincial Park (Ontario, Canada) just north of Ely and Winton, MN, probably in the 1940's. An agreement signed in 1945 shows that he sold his property (in Winton) to Mildred Kinsely.
He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Schenectady on 29 March 1885.
1920 Federal Census places him at Township 65, St. Louis County, MN working at the lumber camp.
Record of death: St. Louis County, Minnesota
There is a small lake in Quetico Provincial Park named after him, as others were for other park rangers.
