Mail: Dear Mr. Kolbeck,
My name is Kim Fancher. I am a descendent of Wolfgang Seidl and Anna Forster who left Bohemia in 1867 and moved to Manitowoc Co., Wisconsin. I was very excited to see the information you put on ancestry.com that traces Wolfgang Seidl and Anna Forster's families all the way back to the 1600's. I have a lot of information on the family once they came to the United States and also knew that they came from the area around Springenberg. However, I had no information on the generations before Wolfgang and Anna Forster's father, George.
My first question, of course, is - How and where did you find all this information on the Seidls and related families in Bohemia? Did you look in the old church records and, if so, how?
Do you have more information about these families than is on the website? For most of the dates you give the year only, do you have more specific dates? I would really appreciate it if you would share what information you have. I have plenty of information and family stories on the families of Wolfang Seidl and his sisters and Anna Forster's brother and sisters once they came to Wisconsin. I would be happy to share what I have with you if you are interested.
I assume that we must be very very distant cousins, but how are you related to the Seidls? Wolfgang and Anna Seidl were my great-great grandparents. Here is a quick sketch of the family tree:
Wolfgang Seidl - Anna Seidl
l
Mary Anna Seidl - Joseph Schlim
l
Elizabeth Schlim - Leo Sebacher
l
Daniel Sebacher - Shirley Borgilt

Kim Sebacher Fancher (me!)
I am hoping to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Kim Sebacher Fancher
