In the Martius Johann Phillipp Ewinger and Eva Catharina Ritter family, information for the first two children, Catharina and Eva Catharina, was combined as one child in the Family HistoryLibrary archive record (family group sheet). They are two separate persons.
Wood County was formed in 1798 from Harrison County (now in West Virginia). It became part of West Virginia in 1863.

NAME: The Archive record in the Genealogical Society gives Michael SCHMIDT'S
wife's name as Eva Katharina EWINGER. Her birth date is given as 18 Mar 1803
and her christening date as 20 June 1804. Careful checking of the Eppingen
parish record (last entry page 144) reveals the name of the child born 18 Mar
1803 as Catharina; she was christened the next day. The mother of this child
is given as Eva Catharina. The child's godparents were Georg Benz and his wife
Catharina. The custom was to name a female child after her godmother. There was
another child born 20 June 1804 (last entry page 153) which was christened the
next day. This child had the same godparents as given above and was given the
name Eva Catharine. This child appears to have died shortly after birth (date
of death blurred). A second Eva Catharina was born 18 Nov 1810 (last entry
page 249) which adds evidence that the first Eva Catharina died. The marriage
record of Michael and his wife (page 53) lists the wife's name of Catharina.
Another entry (no. 19 1/2, 3 March 1825), which is signed statement by Michael
Schmidt and Catharina Ewinger, declares that the father of the child the said
Catharina was then carrying was Michael Schmidt. She signed this statement as
Catharina. #1 Georg Adam's birth record lists his mother as Eva Katharina, but
the Eva was lined through (crossed out). This is the only occasion where a "K"
was used instead of a "C" in the name. Perhaps this error was made because
Adam's mother's sister Eva Catharina (spelled Katharina in this entry) was one
of the witnesses at the christening. #2 Christof, #3 Johann Georg, #4
Elisabetha birth/christening records lists their mother as Catharina Ewinger.
