The groom's certificate of confirmation by Pastor Linde in Borbye, with date 20th Dec. 1857. Comments : "Haeuerinste": farms on land that he has leased. An "Aegtebrief " informs about the person's identity, parents, date ofbirth, baptism, confirmation, status of parents, if alive or not, conduct, earlierorcurrent promises of marriages, financial obligations (supporting the old parents or paying for anillegitimate child), and wether or not involved in some current investigations about crimes oroffenses. It was required when the person was not born in the parish where he or she intended togetmarried. "Armenschein" : a certificate that states that a person is notbenefitting from public relief funds, that he / she does not live of the poorbox. Locations : find Fleckeby on the map, half way between Eckernfoerdeand Schleswig, on the main road (B 76). Louisenlund is just north of it, on the banks of theSchlei. Carlshof (Karlshof) is a single location just south of Fleckeby, north of Wolfskrug.
