Die Übereinstimmung des in Allscheid am 23.2.1834 geborenen Johann Adam Meyer mit dem später in De Pere lebenden Adam Meyer (auch bei Geburten vonKindern als Johann Anton bezechnet) ist nachgewiesen über die Nennung seiner Eltern "Michel Meyer and Maria Halfmann" in seiner Sterbeurkunde 1887

| Description | Im Jahr 1852 wanderten fast alle Einwohner des Ortes Allscheid/Eifel nach USA aus. Auf diesen merkwürdigen Umstand bin ich bei der (erfolgreichen) Suche nach den Vorfahren eines Amerikaners gestossen. Die vermutete Verwandschaft bestätigte sich zwar nicht, aber dennoch sind inzwischen viele Nachfahren dieser Allscheider Auswanderer zum Datenbestand hinzugekommen, so dass ich diesen hiermit zur Verfügung stellen möchte.
