In the 1835 census, he is listed at Rosenort #18. He apparentlymarried Sara Thiessen, the widow of Jacob Johann Wiens, in 1832. Theentry says he came from Altonau, Molotschna. I am assuming that he isthe son of Heinrich Epp of Altonau (#45265) because the 1835 censussays that he came from Altonau. His first wife, Sara, is also referedto as Maria, in the book, The House of Heinrich Epp, by Anna Epp Ens.According to family stories, he was murdered. Some sources give birthas 31 Mar 1811.
