Henry was in Plymouth by 1633, when he appears on a tax list and is listed a a freeman. The next year he again paid tax in Plymouth, butby 1636 he was living at Duxbury, where he was constable. It was not hewho was in Plymouth in 1638 when the cattle were divided, but only twocows which had been his. He was listed among the freemen of Duxbury in 1637 and served often on juries there from then until 1653. In 1656 he was surveyor of highways. About 1656, Henry and his brother Arthur became Quakers. Henry was fined in 1657/8 for allowing Quakers to meet at his house, and in1659, he and William Newland lost their freeman status for helping Quakers. Henry was fined again in 1660. But in 1668, he was again surveyor of Highways in Duxbury.
