Mrs. Alice Taylor Hargett (Rt 6 Box 251, Russellville, AL 35653) Will of Rebecca Swan, Laurens County, S.C. dated 3 November 1837 mentions childrenof Barbara Sloan. Could this possibly be first wife of David Sloan? His tomb states he was b. 6-17-1789 d. 12-5-1874, left 6 children: John, James F., Rebecca B., Jane R. Margaret Lee and Timothy S. Tomb next to him reads Nancy Sloan d. 8-18-1874, Age about 70 years, 2nd wife of David Sloan. Who was his 2nd wife? Timothy S. was my g-grandfather, who did the other children marry?
