Unter dem 28.08.1750 vermerkt das Bunder Kirchenrechnungsbuch: "an de Heer Pastor Klugkist (bis 1750 Pastor zu St. Georgiwold) betaalt, voor Candidaet Knottnerus voor dat Hy hier te Bonda heeft gepredikt in de Vacantie 28 Rthlr. is 75 Guld. 12 Sch." Erst mit 48 Jahren erhielt er seine erste Pfarrstelle als erster Geistlicher der neu gegründeten Kirchengemeinde Landschaftspolder (der Ort bestand seit 1754). Hier predigte er am 01.12.1768 als erster in der neu erbauten Kirche.
