Notes for this person
Louis was the second Pfefferkorn to come to the United States. They went to Ohio, which had an Alsatian settlement, where his sister Magdalena lived. Land was so expensive they left Ohio, for less costly land at Texas Bend, six miles northeast of Charleston, Missouir.
