Obituary of Charlotte Roth Simon   Charlotte Roth was born in Germany Feb 28 1851 and came to America in 1871. On October 2 1872 she was united in marriage to Jacob Simon in Winona, Mn. To this union were born seven children, Girard ofthe Morton Mercantile, Co., Maggie who died about seven years ago, and Katie,Mary, Peter, and John all of Minneapolis. All of those living were present except for Katie who was unable to attend. The desased was well and favorably known in Morton, having come here from Madison, MN. with the family in the year 1904. In 1906 Mr Simons passed away and the care of the family fell on Mrs Simon. Shehad been in poor health and suffered with bronchitis and asthma for about 25 years but was cheerful and had many dear friend hereSome two years ago with the family she moved to Minneapolis, where sheresided at the time of her death Sunday morning.Oct 20 at 1:30 after an illness of only three days duration. Mrs Simon was conscious and conversed with her children up to the moment of her death, which came as a relief to her many years of illness and suffering. Besided the children mentioned above Mrs Simon leaves to mourn her loss two brothers, Martin who resides in Canada and matthew in Germany besides two sisters Mrs Peter Hinkle of Bigstone, MN and Mrs Elsen of Bangor, WI. Mr and Mrs HH Longworth of Nassau, and Miss K Hinkles, Matt Keman, and Will Elsen of Madison,, MN were those from a distance who were able to attend the services here Wednesday.
