Peter Feddersen was born in Witbeck, Germany, on Sept. 20, 1860, at his home a few miles east of Battle Creek, Iowa, and passed away on Oct. 20, 1915. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Battle Creek, Iowa.
He came to America in 1882, settling first in Nebraska, where he remained until 1888 when he returned to Germany and remained there one year.
In 1889, he married Magdalene Steffensen, who together with 3 sons and 2 daughters survive him. The sons are Herman, who now resides southeast of Ida Grove, and Albert and Walter at home. The daughters are Alma (now Mrs. Elmer Lill) who lives northwest of Battle Creek, and Miss Rosa.
After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Feddersen lived 2 years in Shelby County, then one year in Harrison County, and one year in Crawford County. From there, they moved to a farm near Danbury, Iowa, thence to a farm 3 miles southwest of Battle Creek, where they remained 3 years. Nine years ago, he bought the farm east of here, which has since been their home.
