Clara Ruby Rickstrew Holz, daughter of Maude and Clarence Rickstrew of Wamego, was born July 1, 1909 in Belvue Township, Pottawatomie County, Kansas and passed away October 20, 1962 at the age of 53 years, three months and 19 days.
She attended school at District 75 until 1918 when with her parents she moved 4 1/2 miles southwest of Laclede, Kansas , where she finished her schooling at District 42.
she was married to henry W. Holz on April 20, 1932, moved to a farm north of Paxico. To this union one daughter, Virgena was born.
Preceding her in death was her husband Henry her father, a granddaughter and one brother.
Surviving are her daughter Virgena Berner and husband Johnnie Berner, two grandchildren, Jerry and Sherry Berner, her mother, Mrs. Maude Rickstrew and five sisters, Mary Kraushaar, Mae Niedfeldt, Gertrude Wille, Jean Breymeyer all of Wamego and Nellie Wygal of Hutchinson, Kansas also several nieces and nephews.
Ruby was a member of the Immanuel and United Church of Christ also the Unity Rebekah Lodge No. 232 of Wamego.
Services were at the Stewart Memorial chapel and burial in the Wamego cemetery.
Pallbearers were; Bob Evans, Bob Buchmeirer, Zeke Reiners, Ben Erickson, George Seele, Harold Hafenstein.
