<p>1511. Peter Eymann, b. 3 Feb 1656, Steffisburg. He apparently did not go to Germany with his father in 1672, or perhaps he did go and then returned to Switzerland later. He married Verena Hertig on23 Apr 1680 at Steffisburg. He lived at Lueg in Steffisburg. In 1696 he was called before the court because of his Anabaptist wife. In 1708 his wife Verena Hertig was on the list of Anabaptists living at Markirch, Alsace in 1708. In 1709, Peter Eymann petitioned to rent "a desirable location" for 9 years near Markirch. In 1736, a man called Peter Eymann "Anabaptist and his sons" given names not known, rented land at Muesbach, Alsace for 9 years. He was probably the father of Ulrich and Nicholas Eymann who both apparently lived at Muesbach, Alsace. His children were Amish. (Neil Ann Stuckey Levine, MFH Oct 2002 "My Eymanns in Alsace". The family outline is my configuration based on information by Stuckey.) He may have been the “Pierre Euitmann” and Anabaptist about age 80 who died at Aubure (Altweier), Alsace on 13 Feb 1729.
